Every day society is more computerized and with it new situations arise that have to be regularized. This is the case of rights on the Internet which are not included in any Constitution.
One of the most representative rights is “the right to be forgottenâ€, which would be the possibility of deleting any information about a person on the network and thus being able to preserve their own privacy.
It is for this reason that the European Commission has launched a legislative process in order to reinforce the protection of personal data of citizens and thus be able to adapt the laws to the virtual world, where documents in addition to being available to all, can be eternally
This reform that aims to regulate the storage of personal data on the Internet of a public nature and data stored on social networks such as Facebook or Tuenti. In this way they may be required to be completely erased by that person who considers that their rights are being violated.
In different media, the director of the Spanish Agency for Data Protection (AEPD) encourages citizens to request the cancellation of private references on the Internet if they believe that respect for their personal dignity is violated.
